Interior Structure of the Historic 1924 Brown Brothers Building Emerges as Ceiling Removal Continues

Ceiling removal continues inside the first-floor unit at the Brown Brothers Building. Plaster demolition further exposes the structure above, and as additional sections are cleared, more of the historic wood ceiling joists come into view—extending the visible framework across the interior.

The ongoing work allows for a more complete assessment of structural conditions while preparing the interior for future systems and finishes. With each phase of removal, the full height and volume of the space become increasingly defined, reinforcing the building’s original construction and proportions.
