Flooring Removal Reveals Earlier Layers at the Brown Brothers Building

Crews continue interior demolition at the Brown Brothers Building, removing sections of vinyl plank flooring to expose earlier layers beneath. Using pry bars, workers carefully lift and separate the planks, revealing a thin cushioning layer and portions of the original wood flooring below.

This phase provides a clearer view of how the space has evolved over time, allowing construction teams to assess existing conditions before new finishes are installed. Each layer removed brings the building closer to a clean structural baseline—an essential step in preparing the interior for restoration.
